Pardcastathon 2011: Friday, November 25 at 6pm PT

Pardcastathon 2011 is nearly upon us! Tune in for 12 hours of comedy benefitting Smile Train. Jimmy's hoping to raise at least $27,000 this year, but with his recent appearance on Conan helping to promote the benefit, I'm going to guess $32,000.69 (thanks, Caleb).
UPDATE: "Our final donation tally for Smiletrain: $34,636.69. Thank you!!!!!" @NeverNotFunny
Watch a little, watch it all ... but donate whatever you can to Smile Train, or bid on one of the NNF eBay auctions benefitting Smile Train.

The New Todd Glass Podcast

The long-awaited Todd Glass podcast is ready for your ears!

After much speculation about the name of The Nerdist's latest podcast, they've gone with the inspired and Bauhausian The Todd Glass Show.

Listen to Todd's first episode with guests Tom Martin & Daniel Kinno.

Hey, Subaru! Todd's mom would love to listen to some sponsorship spots from the comfort of her new car!

Paul Gilmartin Talks Mental Illness Happy Hour

"There's no other medium where you can take your soul out and put it on the table and say: This is me," says Paul Gilmartin, host of The Mental Illness Happy Hour. "Before I started doing the podcast, Graham Elwood told me, 'It is so empowering.' And, I was thinking: How could something be empowering if you aren't making money? I didn't know yet; I hadn't tried it."

First Podcast Results

The results of this survey surprised me. My anticipated Top 3 First Podcasts were Ricky Gervais, SModcast and Never Not Funny. While all 3 of these made the list, only one made the Top 3.

So, which podcasts gently but masterfully made more of us men & women than any others?

Pat Francis Talks Rock Solid Podcast

Never Not Funny fans have been clamoring for more of Pat Francis, and now they can enjoy a weekly dose of Third Chair. Francis and Gary Lucy co-host Rock Solid, the first podcast to be presented by Never Not Funny.

"Jimmy [Pardo] and Matt [Belknap] called me and said 'We need to have a Never Not Funny meeting,'" says Francis. "And, I knew that the last time they said that, Mike Schmidt got fired. So, I didn't quite know what it was. But, they said 'We want to expand and have podcasts that fall under the Never Not Funny umbrella.' Jimmy was very complimentary about the music reviews I've been writing for Pop Culture Beast ... and he said 'We'd like to do a music podcast like that.'"
